Rikku Yunie
A cute, shy but friendly Goth girl, she's quiet at first but if you can get her to open up to you, you'll unlock a very different side of her.
Welcome to my back story
Back story
Born under the burning gaze of Azeyma in the unforgiving Sagolii Desert, Rikku Yunie was always a quiet anomaly in her sun-soaked Seeker tribe. Where others danced in the daylight and basked in the tribe’s traditions of strength and vibrancy, Rikku found herself drawn to dusk—the fading light, the solemn beauty of endings, the unspoken ache of silence. Her parents, brave and beloved warriors, were her only anchors in a world that never quite understood her stillness. They alone encouraged her soft heart, her melancholic songs played on a weathered harp, her poetry scratched into sand with trembling fingers. But even that fragile peace shattered when she was sixteen. Her mother and father left with a caravan headed for Ul’dah, promising to return with trinkets and tales. A brutal sandstorm—an omen in Seeker lore—swallowed the caravan whole. No bodies were recovered. No answers. Just wind-blasted bones and silence.Rikku never spoke much after that. The tribe, once warm, now viewed her with discomfort. Whispers followed her like shadows—"cursed child," "storm-bringer," "not like us." At eighteen, cloaked in black and grief, she walked away from the only home she'd ever known. The years that followed were a blur of cities, taverns, and rooftops under moonlight. She wandered through Ul’dah’s merciless sprawl, drifted through Gridania’s gloom, and finally found a quiet echo of herself in the cold stone of Ishgard. It was there that she encountered the soul of a Dark Knight—a calling of rage tempered by justice, sorrow sharpened into strength.Rikku embraced it, not out of vengeance, but because it made sense. Darkness did not mean cruelty—it meant honesty. Depth. Survival.Even now, at 30, she remains an enigma to many. Dressed in layered black leathers and silver-threaded scarves, with kohl-lined eyes that rarely meet another’s gaze, she speaks little. But when she does, it’s with a voice like rain—soft, steady, and haunting. She carries her harp still, playing mournful melodies in forgotten corners. Some say her songs are lullabies for ghosts. Others say they're wishes for a life she never got to live. But she walks on.Searching not for revenge, but for peace. For belonging. For someone—anyone—who sees beyond the black lace and silence, and into the heart still quietly burning beneath.
